We love Lincoln in Autumn
As we’re popping out the other end of summer now and into the dismally forecast September, many people are wondering why Lincoln is going to be such a hub of activity! Well let me tell you- Lincoln looks good in any weather and so we aim to celebrate its historical beauty as much as we can! There really are some fun things going on around the end of September and we have a lot of different people we can please with these activities!
Start Autumn off in style
The first weekend in September promises to be a hub of activity in Lincoln- boasting a very wide range of festivals and markets.

Summer is Approaching!
With summer officially approaching, and the British weather improving, Lincoln is a great place to visit for a day, a weekend or even a week!
With events including the Lincoln Water Festival last weekend, and the Lincolnshire Show this week, which is fast approaching, Lincoln’s events are warming themselves up for a storm of a month in July and August! (Not literally we hope..!)
A main attraction for both locals, and visitors alike is the RAF Waddington International Airshow. Situated just 3 miles from Lincoln, the event is a must visit for anyone interested in aviation or wanting an adrenaline rush!
Whats On In Lincoln - Highlights
During the summer, Lincoln has something for everyone - be it for the family who wait for the annual ‘Lincoln by the Sea’ oversized sandpit, or for the sports addicts who want to watch the commonwealth games on the super-sized screen put up in Lincoln’s little square.
Here in Lincoln, there are also some slightly more out of the ordinary festivals. Most of these happen a short walk away from the Cathedral quarter- minutes away from our quaint Cathedral View Guest House.
