Summer is Approaching!
With summer officially approaching, and the British weather improving, Lincoln is a great place to visit for a day, a weekend or even a week!
With events including the Lincoln Water Festival last weekend, and the Lincolnshire Show this week, which is fast approaching, Lincoln’s events are warming themselves up for a storm of a month in July and August! (Not literally we hope..!)
A main attraction for both locals, and visitors alike is the RAF Waddington International Airshow. Situated just 3 miles from Lincoln, the event is a must visit for anyone interested in aviation or wanting an adrenaline rush!
RAF Waddington International Air Show is the largest of all RAF air shows, regularly attended by over 125,000 visitors, with proceeds from the Air Show bring donated to the RAF and local charities each year.
The stars of the Airshow for us, are naturally the famous Red Arrows and Dambusters displays, this year there will also be appearances from other RAF & UK squadrons and Air Forces from around the world.
If the sky’s not the limit for you, there will also be trade and craft fairs, aircraft and vintage car displays and you will also be entertained by the traditional funfair.
This year is an important one.. The 2014 theme will include the commemoration of the onset of the First World War, 65th Anniversary of NATO, 70th Anniversary of D Day and the 50th Display Season of the Red Arrows.
